ANINI, May17: Biometrics finger print attendance system was officially inaugurated by, Deputy Commissioner Tamune Miso in a function held in National Informatics Centre, Anini in presence of many officers and officials.
Calling upon to all to be sincere, punctual and regular, the DC said, the Biometric system of attendance has been brought to use basically to inculcate healthy work culture amongst the govt. employees of entire state.
The DC lauded the efforts put in by Rajendra Prasad, DIO and DPO CW Chautang, particularly for the pain and initiative taken in the installation of the device despite their engagement in the ongoing PR election duties.

Maharashtra Govt to withdraw erroneous textbooks
NEW DELHI/ITANAGAR, May 17: The Maharashtra Government has ordered withdrawal of Class X Geography textbooks that excludes Arunachal Pradesh from the map of India.
Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan termed as “unpardonable mistake” the exclusion of Arunachal Pradesh from the map of India published in the textbooks and disbanded the committee of experts which had approved of the textbook.
"Orders have been issued to stop circulation of the textbooks to students and efforts are on to get back the books that have been circulated," he told reporters here.

"An inquiry is underway to find out how this mistake has happened and who is responsible for this. I have directed the Education Minister to take strict action against those responsible for this," he said.
The Arunachal team led by Member of Parliament Takam Sanjoy met Chavan at his Delhi residence and submitted a protest letter to him, demanding a thorough investigation to find out the truth behind the 'Missing Map' of Arunachal Pradesh from the textbook.
The team also demanded that all books circulated throughout Maharashtra should be withheld till investigation to unearth the truth is completed.

Everest Expedition is the first ever expedition comprising exclusively of mountaineers from 6 states of North East India. 16 individuals from different states are participating in this expedition including the support team. Everyone has right to decide future
Dear Editor,
In recent Panchayat election it has been observed that the villagers get divided and the ever loving families become enemies. They criticize each other. They don't like to talk with each other even if they belong to the same family. I wonder why our fellow citizens never try to understand that election is only a game. Why don’t they understand that in every game one wins and other looses. When the family members become enemies really it is unbearable. It is like putting salt in the wound. So I would like to remind our fellow citizens that Indian Constitution had guaranteed Fundamental Right to each and every citizen through which we can enjoy our adult franchise. Everyone has the right to choose his/her leader. No one can curtail ones right. Everyone has the right to decide their future.

Unacceptable explanation
Dear Editor,
It is very sad news for the people of Arunachal that, Arunachal is repeatedly excluded from Indian Map. Year before Arunachal was shown within the Chinese territory in Google Map and once again same has been repeated in the Class Ten Geography Textbook of Maharastra.
I strongly retort the simple explanation of “the Printing mistake” given by Rajendra Dadra (Minister of School Education) govt. of Maharastra. The printing machine cannot do any mistake whenever man do not make mistake. This is not only bad for us but they are cheating their future citizen also. Suppose, (How many states in India?) if such question will be set in any competitive exam, then, what answer will be replied by that students in their future?
In this regard, I strongly appeal to the Govt. of Arunachal not to devote in your political/business carriers but to take strong action against Govt. of Maharastra and to protest against them at national level also.
Once again I appeal to all the people of the state to put your hands together and raise single voice over this issue instead of your activeness in any other issues like communal/caste/religious/clan etc feelings/sentiments within the state.
Lastly but not least, I appeal to the media community (state/national) to raise this issue at national/international level and have debate on all National TV channels. Otherwise, such practice will be repeated in near future.

Climate change
A new analysis of scientists’ articles on global warming and climate change has found almost unanimous agreement that humans are the main cause.
The comprehensive examination of peer-
The study, the most comprehensive so far, identified 4,000 article summaries, or abstracts, from papers published in the past 21 years which stated a position on the cause of recent global warming.
Its finding that 97% of them echoed the consensus view – that anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is responsible for the rise in global average temperatures – is remarkably similar to the conclusion of a smaller study completed in 2004.
The latest study, Quantifying the consensus on anthropogenic global warming in the scientific literature, which was led by John Cook of the University of Queensland, Australia, is published in IOP Publishing’s journal Environmental Research Letters.
It did not stop at analysing the abstracts, but went further, asking each author to rate their entire paper using the same criteria. Over 2,000 papers were rated, and among those that discussed the cause of recent warming, 97% supported the argument that much of it is caused by humans.
